EMBA Working Groups findings published in online journal Frontiers in Pediatrics
The work and findings of the three EMBA working groups that have met several times a year for the past 3 years have now been published as part of the research topic; Human Milk in the Feeding of Preterm Infants: Established and Debated Aspects in the latest Neonatology edition of the peer reviewed online journal Frontiers in Pediatrics.
Each of the three articles is the result of collaborative work by members of EMBA from many European countries and the consensus views presented are representative of the entire EMBA Board.
The aim has been that the three papers will provide useful guidance for all involved in the banking and the clinical use of human milk and that in particular the recommendations for the establishment and operation of human milk banks as well as for the processing and the fortification of human milk will support and facilitate those who are currently working to set up milk banks.
